We are stronger together.
The goal of this women’s writing group is to form a small but mighty group of women+ who are actively pursuing their writing goals.
By surrounding ourselves with women+ on similar journeys and providing a safe space to express and seek guidance. This group will serve as a way to stay consistent in flexing your writing muscle. All writers are welcome from all walks of life.
What you can expect from us
Resources, tools, and friends to help you get the writing juices flowing. Also, a friendly ear to receive feedback.
A cute, quiet, safe space (my home). Includes yummy snacks, music, and a cat named Mittens for comfort.
A $10 fee ($5 for Virtual Groups) will be charged prior to attending each group to encourage attendance and provide group resources.
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
We are open to all writers!
Don’t worry about not being published. Don’t worry about your writing skill level. Don’t worry about how long you have been writing.

My Name Is Rebecca
I will be leading the writing group and welcoming fellow writers into my home. I am originally from New York, lived in Portugal for 2 years prior to moving back to Oakland, and work full-time in Tech. I am currently working on my first Fantasy novel (about 40% done).
My reasoning for forming this group was due to necessity. There were not many writing groups conveniently located near me. I also wanted to be in a quiet space. As a neurodivergent person, coffee shops can be overstimulating for me.
This group was made by a woman for women because women are often times overshadowed and not given the space and comfort to express themselves.
I hope to make new friends, hear new stories, and create new work.
The goal is to create a community that inspires writers.
